Fiona Deal's Egypt trilogy is a highly informative and entertaining work of fiction interspersed with archaeological mysteries and possible solutions. As a veteran traveler to Egypt I immensely enjoyed each book which has refreshed my many old memories of that magical place. The author's descriptions of localities, sights and people are so vivid that it almost feels like watching a motion picture. Fiona Deal's own conundrum are current political events in Egypt which may keep tourists away for a while, and with them also the main personae of the trilogy who are trying to find their place in Egypt's tourist industry. Let's hope things normalize in Egypt soon so that we may be reading more of Merry's and Adam's explorations. All three books are highly recommended.Product details

An action-packed breathtaking story full of adventures, twists and turns. This book is fast, gripping, romantic and fun, all at the same time, with some colourful characters and interesting twists.
Each scene that Fiona Deal creates in words, instantly visualises inside one's mind. It also taps into all your senses with sounds, scents and more.
With the author's expert knowledge about all things Egypt (antique/old and new), this book is a MUST on the reading list for anyone planning to visit Luxor or Cairo, or both. I've never been, but now I'm dying to visit (and I shall have to read the book again before I go!).
It would credit any book club listing and is certain to generate interesting group discussion.
I'm sure the book will soon be made into a movie. Read it first, before Hollywood gets its hands on it.
I cannot wait to start the second book and know that I shall read and enjoy all of them.

A fun read, this book is a page turner. I recommend this book to anyone that enjoys a light hearted mystery.
Light reading for the summer months if you are up for an archeological mystery/romance. Sometimes a light read is all I am looking for.
If you have a passion for Ancient Egyptian or you love a tale spun in the modern day with the past woven in, you will thoroughly enjoy this book! Characters are likeable, even comical at time. Great story telling that sweeps you away to the Land of the Pharaohs. A great fun read! Highly recommend!!
I love ancient Egypt and I love a good mystery. I found this story captivating from the first page! The story was well-paced and the characters delightful. I enjoyed the vivid descriptions of Egypt and its wonders. I felt as though I had been transported there while still enjoying the comfort of my own home. This is definitely a story I will read again and again. I look forward to getting the sequels and seeing where Meredith Pink takes me next.
Had just finished reading a bio of Almina, Lady Carnarvon when I discovered this delightful series of books by Fiona Deal. It was as though the story I had recently enjoyed continued onward with Meredith Pink's very engaging adventure! Egypt as I knew it, the very hotels I enjoyed, the tombs and pyramids and the same restaurants, what more could I ask . . . but there was more! The tiny footprints had long graced one of my favorite pieces in the Tut collection and as the story continued I was in tears! Crying for the joy of again visiting Egypt, one of my favorite places on this Earth! A very enjoyable story and now to continue the adventure with Book Two !!!!
